Sooke Bed and Breakfast
With your stay at one of Sooke's excellent bed and breakfast accommodations, you'll find various activities to keep you busy.
Take in the scenery and then do a little sight seeing and shopping. Sooke's bed and breakfast accommodations are in the heart of British Columbia's culture.
Finding Sooke Accommodation - Inns
You can view our online Sooke Bed and Breakfast accommodation listings or purchase
the Canadian Bed and Breakfast Guide, a printed directory of bed and breakfast accommodations across Canada, including
Canadian inns. It was established in 1982 by Gerda Pantel and is now produced by Marybeth and Jay Moyer,
Enjoying Niagara Inc. It is an ideal trip planner for travel in Canada. The Guide started as, and remains,
the only national printed guide to Bed and Breakfasts in Canada. Bed and Breakfast lodgings in the book are
listed with picture and extensive descriptions which includes information on: rooms, breakfasts, amenities,
things to do, price, means of payment, how to locate them, etc.
Selecting your Bed and Breakfast Accommodation
In choosing bed and breakfast accommodation it is recommended that you look at the descriptive details of the
bed and breakfasts in the area in which you will be staying. There will in most cases be a choice of options
that will cover the needs and value preferences of prospective bed and breakfast guests. It is best to book ahead
and while this can frequently be done by e-mail, calling by phone is not a bad option. It gives you a chance to
speak to the host, ask some questions that may not have been answered for you in the listing, and to get a feel
for the reception you can expect.

Sooke - Location & Climate
Sooke is located on the south western tip of Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. It has a sheltered harbor, and is a scenic half hour drive from BC's capital city Victoria. The Sooke region encompasses East Sooke and the District of Sooke, two communities which are joined across the Sooke Harbour and Basin.
As a part of a temperate rainforest, the Sooke district has one of the most mild climates in Canada. Typically warm and dry in the summer, the weather is very pleasant. Winters also are also mild with a good amount of rainfall and a rare snowfall. This pleasant climate can be enjoyed while hiking, biking, or horseback riding some of the local trails, or kayaking or sailing in the local waters of Sooke Basin and beyond.
Sooke supports quite a wealth of interests, such as music, drama, arts and crafts, photography, gardening, and team sports, through community organizations. The Sooke Region Museum holds a major annual juried art exhibition, the Fine Arts Show. Sooke's diversity offers something for everyone.
East Sooke Regional Park consumes over 3500 acres of East Sooke, and borders the Juan de Fuca Straight on one side. Take a relaxing trek away from the everyday on the 50 km of trails as they weave their way through this wilderness park. Enjoy the peaceful forests and the trickling creeks on your visit to nature's mecca.
