Selecting your Bed and Breakfast Accommodation
In choosing bed and breakfast accommodation it is recommended that you look at the descriptive details of the
bed and breakfasts in the area in which you will be staying. There will in most cases be a choice of options
that will cover the needs and value preferences of prospective bed and breakfast guests. It is best to book ahead
and while this can frequently be done by e-mail, calling by phone is not a bad option. It gives you a chance to
speak to the host, ask some questions that may not have been answered for you in the listing, and to get a feel
for the reception you can expect.

Barrie - Attractions
Barrie is a vibrant and attractive city with swimmable beaches and challenging ski opportunities on our doorstep. An abundance of parkland, totalling over 90 parks, comprising in excess of 300 ha. are scattered throughout the city. Several of these parks line beautiful Kempenfelt Bay with extensive biking, roller blading and walking trails. Cultural attractions include the renowned Gryphon Theatre, and international concert and performance venue at the Barrie Molson Centre, a 4,200 seat multi-purpose entertainment facility, and the MacLaren Art Centre.
Barrie's waterfront is at the heart of its tourism industry, with events like Kempenfest arts and crafts festival attracting more than 300,000 people
and major attractions like the Serendipity Princess that take more than 40,000 people cruising on the bay each year. Sports and recreational activities, like skiing, baseball, hockey and boating attract people to Barrie in all four seasons of the year.
